When you create your account, we have a section to leave a small note for the carrier such as “ring doorbell” or “gate code 1234.” You can add a message for the delivery person by clicking “Edit” under Shipping Address on your Account Settings page. For extra assurance, you can provide specific delivery instructions for the carrier directly on their website.
When the box is ready to ship, you can identify your carrier and tracking number from your My Box page.
The carriers that offer the ability to leave delivery instructions are UPS, OnTrac, FedEx, CDL, and Lasership. 📦
UPS:
UPS My Choice gives you the ability to leave a gate code for the carrier and directions on where to leave the box (i.e Front Door, Garage etc.). Create an account here.
After you create an account, head to this link to start adjusting your profile. This can also be found by clicking “Preferences,” then clicking “Edit Preferences” under the UPS My Choice section.
Once you’re on the “Edit Member Preferences” page, click “Driver Instructions” under the Delivery Options section.
Enter the gate code and/or select an area to leave the package from the drop-down menu and “Save Changes.”
OnTrac:
OnTrac allows package recipients to leave delivery instructions directly on your tracking information page without the need to create a profile. This option is only available when the box first ships. You won’t have the chance to leave instructions when the carrier is a few stops from your house. These instructions are only for your present order and will not carry over for future deliveries with OnTrac.
Locate your tracking number from your My Box page, or from the email we sent you titled “Your Wild Alaskan Box Is On Its Way.”
Click your tracking link to go directly to the OnTrac website.
Scroll down to "Have a question?" and fill out the form directly and click Submit.
FedEx:
You can control your deliveries with FedEx Delivery Manager. Create a free account to get started. Once your account is created, follow these steps to set up delivery instructions:
1. Click on “Fedex Delivery Manager” in My Profile sidebar.
2. Scroll down to find listed Delivery Address(es). Add any additional information in the form underneath with the “View/Edit” button.
3. Add in your specific details and click “Save.”
CDL:
CDL does not have a way to leave instructions directly on their site at this time. You can send them an email at [email protected] with your delivery address (including the zip code), your tracking number as found on your My Box page, and your specific delivery instructions.
LaserShip:
Lasership gives you the ability to leave instructions and feedback on their site. Locate your tracking number from your My Box page, or from the email we sent you titled “Your Wild Alaskan Box Is On Its Way.”
This option will only be available when the box first ships. You won’t have the chance to leave instructions when the carrier is a few stops from your house. These instructions are only for your present order and will not carry over for future deliveries with LaserShip.
When you click on your tracking link, you will see updates on the transit of your box. Scroll down to “Have A Question?” Fill out the necessary information, and type your message to leave instructions. Click “Send Message.”
