You may have noticed a change in sales tax when you updated your address or sent a gift. Each state has their own rules and charges their own rate. Some states charge lower sales tax rates or no sales tax at all for grocery items, like your wild-caught, sustainable seafood.
After the ruling by the Supreme Court in the 2018 case, South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc., certain states started requiring eCommerce companies (like us) to collect sales tax in certain circumstances.
The amount of sales tax you pay is always going to be dependent on your delivery address at the time your card is charged.
