We regularly introduce new species and cuts to our offerings, typically available as either a Member Special or an Add-on. Member Specials are offered for a short time while supplies last, and can be added as a one-time addition to your subscription box. Add-ons are offered year-round and are purchased as a recurring addition to your box. You are able to make adjustments to add or remove your recurring add-ons at any time.
The difference between the two really comes down to how much of each product we’re able to source under Alaska’s sustainability guidelines and our supply-driven model. 🌎

How to purchase an Add-on:
Add-ons are easily available from your My Box page. Find them on the icon bar, or under your upcoming order details.
You will then see a list of our add-ons! When you see an item you like, just select ADD TO BOX and it will be added to your plan going forward! Add-ons you currently have in your plan will be displayed with a green banner showing how many you have in your box.
Use the + and - buttons at the bottom to add or remove the add-ons of your choice. Your updated plan will then be shown on your My Box page 📦
💡Things to keep in mind:
Add-ons cannot be purchased on their own, they are only available as an addition to your box.
Add-ons are recurring but can be changed anytime between renewals.
If you just want more of your favorite species from your box, all our core species are available as a 2-pack Add-on.
How to purchase a Member Special:
Our current specials are always featured on the dedicated Member Specials page.
Here’s how to locate the Member Specials page on our site!
Mobile device: Once logged in, select the three line menu icon on the top left. Then, select MEMBER SPECIALS from the drop down menu.
Desktop: Once logged in, head to your My Box page. Find them on the icon bar, or under your upcoming order details.
Member Specials rotate based on availability. They can only be added to your next order if the subscription charge date is before the offering’s availability date ends. The last day to add the Member Special and send your box is listed under the offering. These specials will then be charged at the same time as your subscription box and shipped together. 💡Things to keep in mind:
You can add as many units of the member special to your next order as you’d like, but due to the limited supply of these offerings we cannot provide Member Specials as a recurring addition to all future boxes
Member specials do not ship out on their own and cannot be purchased a la carte outside of a regular box. When purchased, they are automatically added to your next scheduled order.
Keep an eye on your emails to hear about incoming specials! We will oftentimes alert our members about new offerings via email. Make sure you’re in the loop by turning on your “New Products & Promotions” notices from the Notifications Setting page.
